A Rising Star's Journey
Taylee Manion, a Hermantown native, first made a name for herself on the ice playing for the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage, a girls’ hockey program that has produced several elite talents.
During her sophomore season she recorded five goals and 17 assists across 23 games, a performance that caught the attention of national selectors.
Her skill earned her a spot on the U18 Select Series roster for Team USA, where she helped the squad capture a gold medal at the U18 World Championship held in Canada earlier this year.
Commitment to the Gophers
Following that international triumph, Manion announced her commitment to the University of Minnesota, where she will join the storied Gophers program beginning this fall.
She will also compete for Hill‑Murray this season, balancing her high school schedule with the demands of Division I hockey.
Fans can expect to see the Hermantown product wear the maroon and gold in the 2028‑29 campaign, as she aims to contribute to the team’s pursuit of another national title.
