A Season of Scholarship and Success
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its latest Academic All-District selections, and the TCNJ Lions baseball program is well represented. Five members of the team earned the distinction, highlighting a rare blend of athletic prowess and academic rigor.
Jack O'Donnell leads the group as a three-time honoree, maintaining a 3.97 cumulative GPA while majoring in accountancy. His on-field contributions include a .387 on-base percentage, 26 walks and 15 hit-by-pitch incidents, underscoring his patience at the plate.
Tyler Provost joins him for the second time in his career. A finance major with a 3.89 GPA, Provost slashed .267/.408/.444 this season, racking up 36 hits, 28 RBIs and six home runs in 2026.
Standout Performances on the mound and in the classroom
John DiCostanzo earned his first career nod after posting a 3.99 GPA and a 5.40 ERA across 14 appearances and five starts. He also threw his first collegiate complete game in a 4-1 victory over Rutgers-Newark, a performance that helped shape the team's early season momentum.
Jake Carter, another finance major, finished his junior year with a 3.67 GPA and started all 39 games in center field. His 40 hits, 34 RBIs and a team-best 12 stolen bases illustrate a well-rounded skill set that extends beyond the diamond.
Rounding out the honorees, Jesse Beer made his debut on the Academic All-District list with a 3.55 ERA. The right-hander posted a 3-2 record and a team-leading 3.05 ERA, earning an Honorable Mention All-NJAC nod for his contributions on the mound.
The recognition reflects the program’s commitment to developing student-athletes who excel both in competition and scholarship. CSC, a national organization that celebrates academic achievement in collegiate sports, continues to spotlight such dual-focused talent across the country.
