A Schedule Built for Exposure
TCU’s 2024‑25 football campaign opens with a string of home‑field advantages that set the tone for an ambitious schedule. The Horned Frogs will host five consecutive games before heading to Las Vegas for a tournament appearance and then traveling to Notre Dame, creating a unique blend of exposure and competition early in the season.
The nonconference slate features a home‑and‑home series with Power Five programs, beginning with matchups against Clemson and Texas A&M. Additional contests include a November 2 game versus Lindenwood, a November 19 showdown with Texas A&M, and a December double‑header against Clemson on the 12th and 16th, marking the earliest start date in the program’s history.
Adding an international flavor, the team completed exhibitions in Costa Rica, defeating the University of Ottawa 93‑66 and 99‑70. Sophomore guard Gavin Sykes emerged as a scoring leader, averaging 20 points and hitting 8‑of‑14 three‑point attempts, while the victories highlighted the squad’s depth and shooting efficiency.
Returning starters such as Xavier Edmonds, Bock Harding, Micah Robinson and Tanner Toolson bring valuable experience from last season’s NCAA Tournament run. They are joined by newcomers Gavin Sykes and DJ Thomas, who provide fresh energy and versatility as the roster looks to translate early momentum into a deep postseason push.
The full schedule also includes games against Southern, ULM, Alabama State, Houston Christian and a highly anticipated visit to Notre Dame.
