Media Days Preview
The 2026 Big 12 Football Media Days will take place on July 8 in Frisco, Texas, gathering the conference’s top storylines and giving fans an early look at the upcoming season.
TCU will be represented by head coach Sonny Dykes and six players, among them transfer quarterback Jaden Craig, who arrives from Harvard after a standout collegiate career.
The Horned Frogs open their 2026 schedule on August 29 in Dublin, Ireland, where they will meet North Carolina in what promises to be a high‑profile start to the campaign.
Dykes enters his fifth year at the helm with a 36‑win record, the most successful four‑year start for any TCU coach since Francis Schmidt, raising expectations for a title‑contending team.
The roster includes key contributors such as offensive lineman Ben Taylor‑Whitfield, who has started 22 games over the past two seasons, and defensive stalwarts Markis Deal and Ansel Din‑Mbuh, who anchored the interior line last year.
Paul Oyewale added 31 tackles during a strong junior season, while Jamel Johnson led the Big 12 in interceptions and will now guide the secondary.
The media session will be broadcast live on ESPNU from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central Time, allowing fans nationwide to hear directly from the players and coaching staff.
