Winnipeg police arrested a 15‑year‑old girl on Tuesday after a bus operated by the Kane County Cougars was set alight just outside Goldeyes Stadium. The vehicle, which was parked in a lot adjacent to the stadium, was engulfed within minutes, its interior reduced to charred metal and ash.
Fire crews from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service arrived promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to nearby structures. A passerby reported assisting a person trapped inside the burning bus, and two teenagers were detained by officers at the scene.

The girl now faces multiple counts, including arson that caused property damage and unlawful possession of incendiary material. Under Canadian law, an undertaking means she has been released pending court appearances, placed under the supervision of a responsible adult and required to obey strict conditions.
