Remembering Adam Massman
Adam Michael Massman, a 17-year-old senior at Alma Center Lincoln High School, was a standout quarterback and defensive back who also competed in basketball and baseball.
During the 2025 football season he threw for 858 yards and 10 touchdowns in six games, accumulating 1,138 total yards and earning recognition on the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association’s 2025 Boys Basketball Academic All-State list.
The tragic incident occurred during a game when Massman suffered an injury that required immediate emergency care on the field; he was subsequently transported to a hospital where his death was confirmed.
A memorial at Lincoln High School now bears the letters “LLA” for “Long Live Adam,” accompanied by photographs of his family’s cattle operation and the truck that has become a symbol of his personal story.
Massman’s family is deeply woven into the fabric of Alma Center and Jackson County; his mother works as an elementary school counselor, a sibling attends junior high, and several relatives are employed within the local school district.
Friend Drew Semingson, along with Megan Steussel, has urged families to express love and appreciation to their children and friends, emphasizing the importance of cherishing each moment.
