A Season of Celebration
Temple University’s football program has revealed its promotional slate for the 2026 campaign, promising a lineup of themed home games that blend tradition with community outreach.
The Owls will play seven home contests at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, each paired with a distinct celebration such as Community Day, a nod to the 2016 championship squad, Hometown Heroes Day, Homecoming, Kids Day, Senior Day and Fan Appreciation Night.
The season opens on September 5 against the Rhode Island Rams, a matchup designated as Community Day, setting the tone for a year that emphasizes local engagement.
A week later, the team will host Penn State, a marquee non‑conference opponent, to honor the 2016 American Conference Championship team that helped elevate the program.
On September 25, the Army Black Knights will travel to Philadelphia for Hometown Heroes Day, a tribute to service members and veterans that will feature special ceremonies and veteran‑focused activities.
October 10 brings UConn to the stadium for Homecoming, a tradition that draws alumni back to campus and includes a weekend of festivities beyond the game itself.
Kids Day on October 17 will see the Owls face the Charlotte 49ers, with family‑friendly entertainment and interactive experiences designed to inspire the next generation of fans.
Senior Day on November 14 will spotlight the final home appearance of the team’s seniors, as Temple welcomes the UAB Blazers for the first ever meeting between the two programs.
The regular season will close on November 19 with a showdown against the Rice Owls, capped off as Fan Appreciation Night, giving supporters a final chance to celebrate the year’s journey.
While exact kickoff times remain pending, season tickets and partial plans are already on sale, allowing fans to lock in seats for the upcoming slate of events.
