Tennessee Baseball Secures Commitment from Air Force Transfer Wyatt Hanoian

Sophomore infielder brings freshman accolades and proven production to the Volunteers ahead of the 2027 season

Wyatt Hanoian, a sophomore infielder who spent last season at Air Force, has officially committed to the University of Tennessee baseball program, adding a proven bat and glove to the Volunteers' roster for the 2027 campaign.

During his freshman year with the Falcons, Hanoian hit .357, drove in 49 runs, and posted a .498 on‑base percentage while also excelling defensively with a .969 fielding percentage. His performance earned him Mountain West Freshman of the Year honors and placed him on the All‑Mountain West first team as well as Perfect Game’s Freshman All‑American second team.

He becomes the third transfer addition this offseason, joining Mercer’s two‑way standout Braydon Kersey and Northwestern State pitcher Brody Trosclair, both of whom have already signed with Tennessee.

A Boost for the Vols' Infield

Coaches expect Hanoian to help replace at least half of the starting infield, a unit that will lose several draft‑eligible players such as Manny Marin, Henry Ford and Blake Grimmer. His blend of offensive production and reliable defense should give the Vols a deeper, more versatile lineup as they aim to compete in the SEC.
