A Strategic Partnership for the Vols and Lady Vols
The University of Tennessee has unveiled a five-year jersey sponsorship with Axle Logistics, a third-party logistics provider that operates across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The deal, valued at more than $3 million per year, will see the Axle Logistics logo appear on the right chest of both the men’s and women’s basketball jerseys beginning with the 2026-27 season.
Axle Logistics, known for its focus on operational excellence, customer service and community investment, says the partnership will support student-athletes, strengthen the workforce pipeline and fund technology and workforce development initiatives. The company highlighted its commitment to innovation and community support as core motivations for the collaboration.
On the court, the Vols are reshaping their roster under head coach Rick Barnes. After losing six players to the transfer portal, Tennessee added eight newcomers, among them Juke Harris and Jalen Washington, to inject fresh talent and depth.
The Lady Vols, guided by first-year coach Kim Caldwell, have also undergone significant changes. The team has signed 13 incoming transfers and two freshmen, aiming to replace the departures caused by the transfer portal and to bolster competitiveness.
Both programs face a demanding schedule in the SEC, with expectations to contend for the conference championship against traditional powerhouses such as Florida and Texas. The new sponsorship adds a financial boost that could influence recruiting and facility upgrades as the teams pursue those goals.
