Tennessee State University’s football program is set to reclaim its place on the FM dial as the 2026 season kicks off with broadcasts on 102.1 FM The Ville. The partnership with Cromwell Media marks a strategic move to broaden the Tigers’ reach beyond traditional radio, integrating terrestrial, satellite and digital distribution.
A Multi‑Platform Push
Select games will simulcast on 102.5 FM The Game, an ESPN affiliate, while the entire slate streams live on SiriusXM and the dedicated website 1021TheVille.com. This layered approach ensures that fans across the country can follow the Tigers whether they are tuning in via radio, satellite or online.
Each broadcast will feature a 30‑minute pregame show called the Reggie Barlow Report, sponsored by the Tennessee Education Lottery. The show sets the stage with analysis, player interviews and a look at the upcoming matchup, reinforcing the program’s growing media presence.
Greg Pogue, who is entering his 15th season as the radio play‑by‑play announcer, will lead the commentary. Former TSU head coach Rod Reed joins as a guest commentator for home games, while TSU Assistant Athletic Director Nick Guerriero provides analysis for road broadcasts. Their combined expertise adds depth to the coverage and highlights the program’s commitment to storytelling.
The agreement also guarantees that the John A. Merritt Classic will be aired simultaneously on both 102.1 FM The Ville and 102.5 FM The Game, giving the classic game maximum exposure. By leveraging Cromwell Media’s terrestrial, satellite and online platforms, TSU Football is positioning itself at the forefront of HBCU sports media, delivering a seamless experience for listeners and viewers alike.
