Tennessee State University is set to shine a spotlight on its upcoming Hall of Fame Class of 2026, with a series of features leading up to the August 27 induction banquet.
Among the inductees is Kimberly Graves, a point guard whose name has become synonymous with excellence in TSU women's basketball.
Championship Legacy
Graves helped steer the Tigers to the 1995 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship, a milestone that marked one of the most successful periods in the program's history.
During her six‑year tenure from 1991 to 1996, she amassed 749 points, 502 assists and 234 steals, placing her second all‑time in assists and among the top thieves in school history.
Her defensive prowess was evident early, as she recorded 71 steals as a freshman and maintained an average of 2.1 steals per game over 109 career appearances.
A Model of Leadership
Beyond statistics, Graves was celebrated for her court vision, leadership and ability to elevate teammates, averaging 4.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game over her college career.
As a senior she posted 5.0 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game, underscoring her continued growth and influence on the floor.
The university will honor her contributions not only as a player but as a catalyst for a era that inspired future generations of Tiger athletes.
The Hall of Fame banquet on August 27 will bring together alumni, coaches and fans to celebrate Graves and the rest of the class, reinforcing Tennessee State's commitment to preserving its athletic heritage.
