This offseason the Vols assembled what many analysts rank as the second‑best transfer class in the country. The influx includes Juke Harris, Terrence Hill Jr., and Vanderbilt graduate Jalen Washington, who joined the program on August 5. Together with returning talent, the group is positioned to contend for a national title.
Coach Richard Pitino, who guided Xavier to a tenth‑place Big East finish last season, recruited seven transfers and three high‑school signees, underscoring the program’s aggressive rebuilding strategy.
A Rigorous Non‑Conference Calendar
The Volunteers’ non‑conference slate begins with a home game against Wofford on November 3, followed by a visit from Michigan State on November 15.
