The Southeastern Conference has released the 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule for the Tennessee Volunteers, marking the start of a 18‑game conference campaign that will run from early January through early March.
Tennessee opens its league slate on January 2 with a home showdown against Vanderbilt in Nashville, setting the tone for a season that blends early road tests with a series of Saturday contests.
A demanding conference slate
The Volunteers will travel to Auburn for their first road game on January 5 or 6, then head to Baton Rouge to face LSU on January 9, before returning to Knoxville for a Saturday matchup against Missouri on January 12 or 13 and a contest with Arkansas on January 16.
Key road trips continue with a visit to Lexington on January 23 to meet Kentucky, followed by a trip to College Station on January 26 or 27 for a game at Texas A&M, and a home game against Florida on January 30.
Midweek contests punctuate the schedule, including a trip to Missouri on February 6, a showdown at Oklahoma on February 9 or 10, and a home game against Alabama on February 20, while the Volunteers also host Georgia on February 2 or 3 and travel to Mississippi on February 16 or 17.
The slate will culminate with a regular‑season finale against Vanderbilt on March 6 in Nashville, after which the conference will announce specific start times, broadcast partners and any remaining midweek dates.
Earlier in the year, Tennessee had already unveiled its non‑conference slate, which runs from November 3 through December 29, providing a preliminary preview of the team’s preparation before the SEC grind.
