Tennessee Volunteers reveal 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule

The Volunteers open the campaign on November 3 at home against Wofford, setting the tone for a season that will feature several high‑profile non‑conference opponents.
A marquee matchup arrives on November 17 when the Vols host Michigan State, a game that will test the team early against a traditionally strong program.
Road test in Las Vegas and a home showdown with NC State
Tennessee will travel to Las Vegas for the Players Era Championship on November 24, where they are slated to meet Maryland and former Volunteer Bishop Boswell in a neutral‑site event.
A week later, on December 6, the Volunteers welcome Justin Gainey’s NC State Wolfpack to Knoxville, adding another former assistant coach to the mix.
SEC competition begins on January 2 with an in‑state showdown at Vanderbilt in Nashville, marking the first conference game of the season.
The road conference opener is scheduled for either January 5 or 6 at Auburn, giving the Vols their first test against a fellow SEC opponent on the road.
