Head coach Teri Moren revealed that the Indiana Hoosiers will welcome two standout players from Ontario for the 2026‑27 campaign, a move that underscores the program’s expanding reach on the international stage.
Camille Pangonis, a 5‑foot‑11 guard from Burlington, brings a versatile skill set after averaging 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game at Fort Erie International Academy. Her freshman year showcased a blend of scoring efficiency and defensive pressure that caught the attention of the coaching staff.
Ashlyn Anderson, a 6‑foot‑3 forward hailing from Latchford, enters the program after a prolific season at Fanshawe College where she posted 15.1 points and 13.9 rebounds per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor. Her combination of size, rebounding prowess and shooting accuracy is expected to add depth in the paint.
A Deepening Roster
The incoming class is complemented by four additional recruits — Addy Nyemchek, GiGi Battle, Ashlinn Shade and Zoe Jackson — who were previously announced for the 2026 cohort. In addition, the team will benefit from four transfers who arrived during the offseason, further enriching the talent pool.
Key returners such as redshirt junior guard Lenée Beaumont and junior forward Zania Socka‑Nguemen are poised to play pivotal roles alongside the new arrivals. Their experience, combined with the fresh infusion of talent, sets the stage for a competitive season in the Big Ten.
Coach Moren emphasized that the program’s strategy hinges on blending youthful energy with seasoned leadership, a philosophy that has already yielded promising results in early practices. The coaching staff believes the new roster can contend for conference honors and make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
