A Fresh Wave of Talent
The Senior Nexus Championship, scheduled for July 17‑19 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, will host a dozen University of Maryland athletes, collectively known as the Terps. The competition provides a platform for rising stars to showcase their abilities in front of national team selectors.
Nine of the participants are returning Terrapins who have already contributed to the program’s recent successes, while three are newcomers joining the roster this season.
Among the returning players are Maci Bradford, Erin Callahan, Brinkley Eyre, Skylar Gilman, Jordyn Hollamon, Aida Ierubino, Alyssa Klebasko, Ryleigh Osborne and Sarah Walker. Each brings a blend of experience and skill honed through previous collegiate campaigns.
The incoming athletes — Ella Beach, Kendall Gilmore and Lilly Mitchell — are expected to add fresh energy to the squad as they transition into the university environment.
Opportunities Beyond the Event
Beyond the immediate competition, the championship serves as an evaluation point for the 2026‑27 U.S. U‑21 Women's National Team. Athletes will also be considered for additional development programs aimed at preparing them for senior international competition.
Coaches and selectors will monitor performances closely, using the data gathered in Virginia Beach to shape future national team selections. The event thus acts as a critical stepping stone for those aspiring to represent the United States on the world stage.
