A Legacy Reimagined
Terran Duncan has been named the new head coach of the Lindsey Wilson University women's basketball program, taking over from longtime mentor John Wethington who is shifting to a broader administrative role.
Wethington, who guided the team for 37 years, will now serve as assistant to the president for athletics development, allowing him to focus on strategic growth while Duncan assumes day‑to‑day leadership.
The 2025‑26 squad finished 23‑9 and reached the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16, and Duncan intends to keep the fast‑paced offense and stout defense that have defined the program.
In recruiting, Duncan emphasizes character as much as ability, seeking student‑athletes who excel academically and embody high‑integrity values.
Duncan, a Hall of Fame player who amassed 1,694 points at Lindsey Wilson and earned a biology degree before a master’s in sport management, brings both on‑court experience and scholarly perspective to the bench.
