The University of Evansville has finalized its men’s basketball coaching staff for the 2026‑27 season, naming Terry Johnson as the new associate head coach. The announcement came on Friday, July 17, marking a strategic move to inject fresh leadership into the program.
Johnson arrives with almost 30 years of collegiate coaching experience, having served at powerhouse programs such as Purdue, Ohio State and Butler. His most recent role was a five‑year stint on Matt Painter’s staff at Purdue, where he helped shape one of the nation’s most consistent Division I programs.
He replaces Craig Snow, who stepped down in June after four seasons at his alma mater. Snow’s departure follows a challenging year in which UE posted a 7‑23 record under head coach David Ragland, a season that marked the program’s fourth under his direction.
Only four players from the previous roster returned, including starters AJ Casey and Bryce Quinet, while ten newcomers will join the squad.
