All‑America Honors
The 2026 collegiate baseball season concluded with a wave of national recognition for the Texas A&M Aggies, as four of its players were selected to the ABCA/Rawlings and Baseball America All‑America teams. The honors reflect a blend of offensive power, pitching dominance and overall impact that helped the Aggies climb the SEC rankings.
Caden Sorrell and Clayton Freshcorn led the way on the first team, with Sorrell also earning a spot on Baseball America’s second team. Their selections underscored a season in which the Aggies combined high‑powered hitting with a shutdown bullpen, positioning the program among the nation’s elite.
Pitching Excellence
Freshcorn emerged as one of the most reliable arms in the conference, posting a 2.82 ERA over 54.1 innings while striking out 56 batters and maintaining a 1.05 WHIP. His consistency earned him the C.E. “Pat” Olsen Outstanding Pitcher Award, voted by teammates as the league’s most valuable pitcher.
Offensive Impact
Gavin Grahovac anchored the Aggies’ lineup with a .339/.429/.722 slash line, driving in 74 runs and scoring 76 times. He topped the SEC in slugging percentage, home runs and RBI, and was selected by his peers for the Marion Pugh Most Valuable Player Award.
Chris Hacopian contributed a .319/.405/.578 line, adding 11 home runs and 10 doubles while delivering 41 RBI and 34 runs scored. His steady production helped stabilize the order during critical conference matchups.
A Historical Milestone
Sorrell’s season was marked by historic firsts for the program. He became the first Aggie since 1999 to record at least 20 doubles and 20 home runs in a single year, finishing with a .341/.434/.743 slash line, 23 home runs and 76 RBI. His 46 career home runs place him sixth in school history, and his 151 RBI rank tenth, cementing his legacy among the Aggies’ all‑time greats.
