The Texas A&M Aggies are set to travel to the Bahamas this August for the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, where they will contest three exhibition matches against overseas opponents.
Managed by Kentucky‑based bdG Sports, the tournament runs from August 3 to August 5 at the luxury Baha Mar resort in Nassau, offering the Aggies a compact but intense schedule of games and off‑court activities.
A Coach’s Vision
Head coach Bucky McMillan sees the league as a catalyst for team cohesion, using the shared adversity of foreign travel to forge chemistry before the regular season begins.
In his debut season, McMillan guided Texas A&M to a 22‑11 record, securing a fourth‑place finish in the SEC and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Aggies finished among the nation’s top‑15 teams in scoring offense, assists, three‑point shooting and bench production, setting high expectations for the upcoming campaign.
New Landscape for College Basketball
Recent NCAA legislation now permits every Division I program to embark on an annual foreign tour, a change that expands offseason development opportunities and adds a global dimension to preseason preparation.
This summer, the Aggies will face the University of Victoria of Canada, Colombia’s Toros del Valle, and Carleton University, also from Canada, in a slate that blends North American and Latin American styles of play.
Returning standouts Mackenzie Mgbako and Zach Clemence will be joined by ten newcomers, including guard PJ Haggerty, who arrives from Kansas State, adding depth and experience to the roster.
