Texas A&M basketball coach Bucky McMillan took a moment this week to lay out the Aggies’ upcoming slate, a schedule that reads like a gauntlet of Power‑5 opponents and marquee non‑conference tournaments.
A schedule built for growth
The conference portion features traditional rivals such as LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina, each promising a test of endurance and skill.
Beyond the SEC, the team will travel to the Battle 4 Atlantis, where they will meet Xavier and Marquette, and will also take part in the ACC Challenge against Stanford, adding further variety to the calendar.
McMillan emphasized that the new roster brings a blend of shooting, slashing and interior presence, a balance he believes can stretch defenses and create mismatches.
The coach noted that the squad is larger and stronger than a year ago, a development that should allow them to compete more physically and be ready earlier in the season.
In the offseason, McMillan is focused on figuring out how every player can contribute, aiming to elevate the program to the next level.
