Texas A&M’s soccer program has officially opened its 2026 campaign, with head coach Bobby Shuttleworth overseeing the first practice sessions after his December appointment, marking the program’s second head coach in recent history.

The Aggies have assembled a blend of experience and fresh talent, welcoming back ten veterans while integrating fifteen newcomers, among them junior goalkeeper Sydney Fuller, who will don the maroon and white for a third season.
Both Shuttleworth and Fuller have underscored the importance of chemistry, describing daily interactions as the foundation for on‑field cohesion as the team prepares for competition.
Shuttleworth’s coaching pedigree includes two national championships at Florida State, where he honed a philosophy centered on player relationships, a principle he now brings to College Station.
The first public test of the new‑look squad arrives on August 5, when Texas A&M faces UIW at Ellis Field in an exhibition that will offer an early glimpse of the team’s chemistry.
