Saturday's Championship Schedule
The state’s top high school baseball teams will converge for four title contests on Saturday, each drawing large crowds and extensive coverage from local media and the High School On SI network.
Rescheduled Class 5A Division 2 Final
Originally slated for an earlier date, the Class 5A Division 2 championship was moved to Saturday because of inclement weather. The game will now pit the Lucas Lovejoy Leopards against the Mission Sharyland Rattlers, both of whom enter with strong records and high expectations.
The revised slate also includes a noon showdown between Gordon and Groveton Centerville in the Class 1A final, followed by an Austin Lake Travis versus Keller clash at 3 p.m., and a Tomball versus Houston Memorial matchup at 6 p.m. All times are local and will be streamed live for fans across the state.
High School On SI will provide real‑time score updates and post‑game recaps throughout the day, ensuring that followers can track every pivotal moment as it happens.
The Lovejoy squad, finishing the season at 33‑6‑1, relies on a core group of standouts such as Tyler Scarborough, Logan Corley, Maddox Hainline, Lucas Smith and Jacob Thorpe, each of whom has committed to notable collegiate programs. Opposing them, the Rattlers boast a 38‑5 record and feature key contributors Nic Valdez, Santiago Soto, Luis Cienfuegos, Luis Balderas, Sergio Ibarra and Emilio Villarreal, many of whom have also secured college placements.
