Austin Regional Preview
The University of Texas‑affiliated Longhorns have been awarded the No.6 overall national seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament, earning the right to stage the Austin Regional at their home venue.
Their first test will be a showdown with the Holy Cross Crusaders, a matchup that could set up a second‑round clash against either the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos or the Tarleton State Texans, the latter having handed the Longhorns a rare defeat earlier in the season.
Broadcast partners SEC Network and ESPN+ will carry the games, giving fans nationwide a chance to follow the Longhorns’ push toward the Super Regional and ultimately the College World Series.
Last season the team fell to the UTSA Roadrunners on their own turf, a loss that ended their campaign prematurely; this year the coaching staff and players are determined to rewrite that narrative.
Key figures such as Aiden Robbins, Casey Borba and Anthony Pack Jr. are expected to play pivotal roles as the Longhorns look to translate their seeding into sustained success.
