Longhorns Recognized for Academic Excellence
The University of Texas men's basketball program has been honored with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025‑26 season. The accolade celebrates squads that maintain a collective grade point average of at least 3.0 across all student‑athletes who competed during the year.
In addition to the team award, eight Longhorns have earned individual recognition on the NABC Honors Court. Each of the selected players posted a GPA of 3.2 or higher, meeting the stringent criteria that the court comprises junior, senior and graduate student‑athletes who excel both on the hardwood and in the classroom.
The accomplishment underscores the program’s commitment to developing well‑rounded athletes.
