The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has announced that it is now accepting applications for its Globe Life Baseball and Softball Grants, a program designed to fund community‑based efforts that introduce more young people to the sport.
Grant Eligibility and Purpose
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas, and they are required to provide baseball or softball activities for participants who are 18 years old or younger.
In 2025, the Lawton YMCA was one of the recipients, receiving funding to purchase pitching machines and netting for a new batting cage, a move that illustrates how the grants can be used to upgrade equipment and expand access.
The application window will remain open until June 30, after which the foundation will review submissions and award funding to selected projects.
Organizations interested in applying can find detailed guidelines and the submission portal at rangers.com/globelifegrant, where they can also learn about past grant recipients and best practices for program development.
Foundation officials say the initiative reflects a broader commitment to nurture the next generation of players while strengthening local sports ecosystems across the region.
