A New Era for College Basketball in Charleston
The first-ever TheLinkU Invitational will transform Credit One Stadium into a basketball hub on September 27, marking the stadium's debut as a venue for college basketball. The event, organized by Beemok Sports & Entertainment and TheLinkU, will present a full slate of games that blend competition with community engagement.
The centerpiece of the weekend is an exhibition matchup between the College of Charleston women's team and the University of South Carolina women's squad, scheduled for 5 p.m. The contest follows a tripleheader that begins at noon with Virginia facing Vanderbilt in the men's division, and culminates with a rivalry game between the College of Charleston and The Citadel at 3 p.m.
Fan Experience Meets Tradition
Beyond the hardwood, attendees can participate in a Friday night Chalk Talk session and meet the teams during a series of appearances designed to deepen connections between fans and programs. The organizers envision a weekend that not only showcases talent but also celebrates the culture of college basketball in the Lowcountry.
Credit One Stadium, long known for professional tennis and concerts, will host the event for the first time in a basketball configuration.
