Three Augusta University Baseball Players Earn 2026 Academic All-District Honors

Aidan Cannaday, Jakob Cowart, and Kent Moon recognized for academic excellence and athletic performance

Three Augusta University baseball players have earned spots on the 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, a honor that blends top-tier academic performance with competitive athletics.

The Academic All-District® Honor

The Academic All-District® program, administered by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s highest-achieving student-athletes across NCAA divisions and the NAIA. To be considered, a player must be at least a sophomore, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet sport-specific participation thresholds.

Aidan Cannaday, a senior outfielder from Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, joins sophomores Jakob Cowart of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Kent Moon of Athens, Georgia, on the Division II list. Each brings a strong academic record alongside notable contributions on the diamond.

Honorees now move into the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first, second and third team selections will be announced later this summer, offering national visibility for these scholar-athletes.

A Step Toward National Recognition

The recognition underscores Augusta University’s growing reputation for developing well-rounded talent and highlights the caliber of competition within the Peach Belt Conference.
