The 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list has been unveiled, spotlighting three collegiate athletes whose performances defined the 2025 season. Each player not only contributed significantly on the field but also helped elevate their programs during a year of growth and accomplishment.
Breakout Performances Across the Board
Martin Kozak of Elon University spearheaded a historic campaign that culminated in the program’s first CAA Men’s Soccer Championship. His five goals and eight assists earned him All‑CAA Third Team honors and the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award, marking the highest assist total for a Phoenix player since 2006.
Matt Lenert from Charleston College also received recognition after appearing in all 17 matches and starting 16 of them. The junior forward netted five goals, including two decisive game‑winners, and collected All‑Atlantic First Team, All‑CAA First Team, and CSC Academic All‑District accolades.
Finlay Oliver of Stony Brook University led his squad with eight goals, four assists and a total of 20 points, driving the team to a 9‑5‑5 record — a six‑win improvement over the previous season and a turnaround from a winless 2024 campaign.
The watch list comprises Division I All‑Americans and All‑Region standouts who will contend for the prestigious award as the 2026 college soccer season unfolds. The honor will be presented at the conclusion of the upcoming NCAA tournament, celebrating the nation’s top talent.
