All‑State Honors Reflect Countywide Excellence
The Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) announced its 2026 All‑State baseball squad this week, spotlighting the state’s most influential performers. Among the honorees are three athletes from Wilson County whose contributions helped shape a memorable season for their respective programs.
Bradyn Stringer, the Commanders’ ace, paced his team to both the Division II‑A District 4 regular‑season title and the ensuing postseason championship. Stringer finished the spring with an 8‑3 record, 53 strikeouts and a 2.64 ERA, while also delivering a county‑leading nine home runs and a .443 batting average that produced 35 RBIs.
CJ Potter, a repeat selection, maintained his consistency with a .382 average, a .482 on‑base percentage and a 1.155 OPS. He topped the team with seven home runs and added 32 RBIs, underscoring his all‑around offensive threat.
Braden Serbin earned the district’s Pitcher of the Year distinction after posting a 4‑0 record and a 0.82 ERA across four district starts. He led the county in strikeouts and surrendered just one earned run in each of his final two outings against Macon County and Heritage, cementing his status as the ERA leader among pitchers with more than 40 innings.
The trio’s recognitions reflect a broader resurgence for Wilson County baseball, a region that has combined dominant pitching with potent hitting to capture district honors. Their performances not only highlight individual excellence but also illustrate the depth of talent emerging from the area’s high school programs.
