Midseason Farm System Rankings
Baseball America’s 2026 midseason talent rankings place the Detroit Tigers’ farm system at No. 22, positioning the club eight spots above the bottom tier of the league.
The list excludes rookie shortstop Kevin McGongile, who was deemed to have graduated from the system, even though he was named to his first MLB All‑Star Game on Saturday.
Injuries have hampered the Tigers’ development pipeline, sidelining several key prospects and forcing the organization to rely on a thinner pool of talent.
Top Prospects Emerge
Despite the setbacks, two Tigers standouts earned spots in the overall top 100: outfielder Max Clark ranks No. 14 and shortstop Bryce Rainer sits at No. 79, highlighting the upside of the system.
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the rankings, with shortstop Jesús Made leading the list at No. 1, underscoring the competitive depth across the league.
The methodology employed by Baseball America emphasizes elite talent over sheer volume, a factor that helped the Tigers climb despite limited depth.
