A Summer of Growth
Nearly 130 campers converged on the Tippecanoe High School stadium in early July, marking the start of a two‑week youth football camp that would set the tone for the 2026 season.
Coach Matt Burgbacher, together with the school’s coaching staff and current high school players, designed the program to teach fundamentals, instill leadership qualities, and keep the atmosphere fun.
The older athletes embraced their role as mentors, guiding younger participants through drills and offering on‑field advice, which helped sharpen both their coaching instincts and the campers’ skills.
As the camp drew to a close, Burgbacher expressed satisfaction with the progress he observed, noting that the team is now poised to enter the new season with renewed energy and cohesion.
A highlight came when the squad faced Greenview in a scrimmage, a contest that showcased marked improvement and hinted at the team’s potential to compete strongly in the upcoming schedule.
Beyond the drills, the camp reinforced community ties, bringing together families, coaches, and students in a shared celebration of sport and growth.
