Titans’ Special Teams Coordinator John Fassel Hosts Annual Football Camp for Children of Incarcerated Parents

Now in its eighth year, the partnership with Prison Fellowship brings sport, mentorship and gifts to over 150 youngsters.

A Tradition of Hope on the Field

John Fassel, the Tennessee Titans' special teams coordinator, has turned a simple idea into a yearly beacon of hope for children whose families are touched by the criminal justice system.

Now in its eighth consecutive year, the football camp he organized in partnership with the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program brings together more than 150 youngsters aged seven to seventeen for a day of play, mentorship and community.

Titans players and coaches — including Jaylen Harrell, David Martin‑Robinson, Julius Chestnut, Jaren Kanak, Sean Brown, K.J. Osborn and Rayna Stewart — spread across drills, games and conversation, offering both skill work and personal encouragement.

Each participant received a pair of shoes, a football, a T‑shirt and a swag bag, while a shared lunch provided a moment of normalcy and camaraderie. Fassel and other organizational members took the opportunity to speak words of encouragement, reinforcing the message that these children are seen and valued.

The event, held under the umbrella of the Prison Fellowship program — the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving currently and formerly incarcerated individuals and their families — highlights how sports can bridge gaps and foster resilience among youth facing unique challenges.
