Why the League Folded
Organizers said the decision was driven by a combination of insufficient interest from teams and the lingering impact of the COVID‑19 pandemic. A modest promotional campaign failed to generate the participation needed to sustain a full schedule of regular‑season games, playoffs and a championship tournament.
In a statement, league officials acknowledged that the pandemic had limited training opportunities and discouraged potential participants from committing to a new sport. They added that the lack of a critical mass of teams made the season untenable.
