A Milestone for Fordham Baseball
Senior catcher Tommy McAndrews of Fordham University has been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings First Team All‑Northeast Region, a distinction that underscores his dominant performance this season.
McAndrews capped a career‑year with a .332 batting average, 44 runs scored, 67 hits, 15 doubles, 15 home runs and 53 RBI, leading the Rams in every major offensive category.
He joins Matt Mikulski as only the second player in school history to record at least 15 doubles and 15 home runs in a single season, a feat that places him among the program’s all‑time greats.
Beyond the diamond, McAndrews graduated with a degree in Finance and earned CSC Academic All‑District honors three times, while also serving three years on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
The recognition reflects not only his athletic prowess but also the program’s growing prominence, a development highlighted by the involvement of the American Baseball Coaches Association and Fordham University’s athletic department.
