During his time at Washington and Lee, Collins guided the defensive line unit to notable heights in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The team consistently ranked among the top defenses in scoring, total yards and rushing categories, and topped the league in sacks during the 2023 season while allowing just 14.4 points per game.
