Tony Felder Jr. was appointed as the graduate assistant for the men’s basketball program at New England College for the 2026‑27 season, a move that brings a seasoned player‑turned‑coach into the locker room.
Felder’s journey to this role traces back to a prolific playing career that spanned NCAA Division I and Division II programs, including stints at Virginia Military Institute, Stonehill College, Radford University and American International College.
A career built on scoring and championships
During his collegiate tenure he amassed more than 1,000 points, a milestone he also reached at the high school level where he led Malden Catholic High School (MA) to its first-ever boys basketball state championship, scoring 38 points in the title game.
