A Season of Standouts
The 2026 high school baseball season in the Mid‑Penn Colonial Division has produced a crop of talent that stretches across Franklin and Fulton counties, where twelve players have been highlighted for their exceptional performances.
Among the hitters, Avery Horst of Greencastle‑Antrim posted a .407 average, adding nine doubles and 33 RBIs, while Ryan Jenkins from Waynesboro posted a .476 average with four home runs, five doubles and 33 RBIs. Brady Maciejewski of Shippensburg contributed a .421 average with a home run and 16 RBIs, and Kaden Marpoe from McConnellsburg led his team with a .339 average, two homers and 17 RBIs. Cam Rakaczewski of Greencastle‑Antrim was a powerhouse, batting .462 with 34 RBIs, 38 runs scored and 17 stolen bases.
On the mound, John Kahl of Waynesboro went 9‑1 with a 2.48 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 62 innings, while Ryder Linn of Greencastle‑Antrim posted an 8‑1 record, a 1.74 ERA and 49 strikeouts over 48 1/3 innings. Ryne Mills of Chambersburg combined a .277 average with two homers and 10 RBIs with a 1.24 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 73 innings, and Brady Truett also from Chambersburg posted a 1.19 ERA while striking out 65 batters.
Rylan Nichols of Waynesboro hit .426 with five homers and 30 RBIs, while Keaton Shands of Shalom Christian posted a .396 average with three homers and 11 RBIs. Drake Wenger of Shalom Christian added a .361 average, two homers and 10 RBIs, complementing a strong base‑running threat with 14 stolen bases.
With such a deep pool of talent, the league has opened an online poll for fans to choose the Player of the Year, inviting the community to recognize the standout performances that have defined the season.
