Top 15 Offensive Players to Watch
The countdown to the 2026 campaign is already underway, with coaches eager to see how their squads will mesh after a busy offseason.
Leading the conversation is Blake Main of Boonsboro, whose 1,529 passing yards and 23 touchdowns last year helped the Warriors finish 12‑1 and reach the Class 1A state semifinals.
Joining him in the backfield are several dynamic playmakers. Jadon King rushed for 1,084 yards and 13 scores while also catching 23 passes for 449 yards and nine touchdowns. Michael Stewart of North Hagerstown added 613 rushing yards and four touchdowns, plus 152 receiving yards and two scores. Marcello Anderson from Saint James contributed 514 yards on the ground and 14 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
A Deep Talent Pool
Tae'myj Boyce-Brown of Williamsport broke out with 546 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, complemented by 27 receptions for 266 yards and a score. At the receiver position, Dakota Sowers of Smithsburg made 33 catches for 262 yards and nine total touchdowns, while Calvin Moss added 20 grabs for 310 yards and two scores.
Quarterback depth includes Luke Scott of Smithsburg, who completed 69 of 122 passes for 1,034 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and Colt Butts from North Hagerstown, who went 53‑of‑97 for 806 yards, five touchdowns and three picks. Both will be looking to tighten the ball and expand their attacks.
The running back corps also features Joshua Davies of Saint James (462 yards, three touchdowns) and Logan Durham of Williamsport (295 yards, five touchdowns). Adding versatility, Jayden Paugh of Boonsboro contributed 64 rushing yards and six total touchdowns.
Special teams standout Wyatt Younker of Williamsport converted 30 of 35 extra‑point attempts and earned second‑team all‑county honors. With a blend of proven performers and a deep watch list, coaches expect the county’s offense to remain among the most potent in the state.
