The University of Houston has secured another high‑profile addition to its 2027 recruiting class, with top‑58 prospect Beau Daniels committing to the Cougars as a power forward.
Commitments
Standing 6‑feet‑7 and weighing 230 pounds, Daniels graduated from Iowa United Prep and chose Houston over a slate of elite programs that included Auburn, Maryland, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech, according to Rivals' ranking.
His pledge marks the second top‑60 national recruit to join Kelvin Sampson’s staff in as many days, underscoring a renewed recruiting momentum for the program.
Alongside Daniels, point guard Darrell Davis, the No. 6 point guard in the 2027 class, also signed with Houston on Sunday, adding backcourt depth that complements the recent arrival of freshman center Arafan Diané, the nation’s No. 1 center last season.
The class also features four‑star combo guard Oneal Delancy from Montverde Academy in Florida, rounding out a versatile group that should bolster the Cougars’ frontcourt and guard positions.
Looking Ahead
With the commitments of Daniels and Davis, Kelvin Sampson’s roster is poised to gain both size and skill, setting the stage for a competitive 2027 season.
