Andrew Duncan, a transfer outfielder from Wright State, has officially committed to the Tennessee Volunteers baseball program, adding a proven bat and speed to the SEC roster.

During his junior season with Wright State, Duncan led the Raiders in batting average (.367), triples (8), total bases (124) and stolen bases (19‑for‑22), while also ranking second on the team in hits (79), OPS (1.013), slugging percentage (.577) and on‑base percentage (.436).

Stat Line and Draft History

The Florida native posted six home runs, 36 RBIs, 44 runs scored and 21 walks in 53 of 54 games, earning first‑team Horizon League honors. He was a top‑100 prospect in the Class of 2023, ranked No. 77 overall and No. 12 among outfielders by Perfect Game, and he was selected in the 19th round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros, though he ultimately did not sign.

Duncan’s collegiate journey includes a freshman stint at Florida State, where he logged a .349 average, .443 OBP and .534 slugging percentage in a single JUCO season at Tallahassee Community College before transferring to Wright State. He previously earned Player of the Year honors at A3 Academy in Tampa and was a Perfect Game All‑American in 2022, also capturing the Nick Adenhart Award.

The Volunteers faced Duncan earlier this season, splitting a two‑game series with Wright State in early March. He went 4‑for‑8 against Tennessee but missed the finale at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, underscoring his ability to perform against SEC competition.

With his blend of power, speed and disciplined approach, Duncan is expected to contribute immediately to Tennessee’s lineup, providing depth in the outfield and a dynamic presence on the bases as the team looks to build on its recent successes.
