Hayden Stepp, a four-star cornerback from Nevada, announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks on Tuesday, opting for the Pac-12 program over Alabama and California.
A Recruit's Choice
Stepp holds the No. 49 spot in the overall national rankings and is ranked No. 7 among cornerbacks in the 2027 class, marking him as the top prospect in his home state.
He played his high school football at Bishop Gorman High School, a program known for producing top talent in the state.
Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class now sits at No. 47 nationally, featuring 13 commitments, including fellow cornerback Darrius White, a three-star prospect from Creekside High School in Georgia.
The commitments underscore a shifting balance in the early recruiting cycle, with both the Ducks and Crimson Tide securing high-profile pieces for the future.
