Topps is set to launch its 2026 Chrome Baseball collection, a series that will spotlight back‑to‑back dual Gold Logoman autograph relics for three of the sport’s biggest stars: Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Tarik Skubal.
Each card pairs a signature with a gold‑plated Logoman patch taken from the players’ MVP seasons, and the Ohtani edition will feature a Kanji‑styled autograph that has already sparked speculation about a market value between $4.5 million and $6 million.
Mike Mahan, chief executive of Fanatics Collectibles, told reporters that the company is pushing the boundaries of card design, aiming to create pieces that match the magnitude of the athletes’ achievements. He noted that the 2025 Chrome version of the Ohtani card fetched $3 million at auction and that leagues have been receptive to experimental concepts.
The move also signals a broader ambition to extend the Gold Logoman treatment to other sports, a strategy that could reshape how collectors view memorabilia.
