During the 2026 FIBA 3×3 U23 Americas Conference held in Ñuñoa, Chile, the U.S. squad navigated a packed schedule, defeating Canada, Argentina, the Cayman Islands and Puerto Rico to claim the championship and lock in a berth for the upcoming World Cup.

The road to the tournament included a rigorous training camp in Phoenix, where McKinney earned a place on the six‑player roster, showcasing the depth of talent that will represent the United States on the world stage.

In September, the team will travel to Wuhan, China, where they will join competitors from across the globe in a competition that blends speed and strategy, featuring half‑court play, a 12‑second shot clock and matches that end at 21 points or after ten minutes.
