Tre Richardson, the youngest of ten siblings, has spent much of his early life juggling the demands of a large family with the pursuit of a football career. After a lengthy legal battle, he secured joint custody of his son, TJ, a milestone that has become a cornerstone of his personal motivation.
A Dual Commitment
His football trajectory led him from Vanderbilt to Louisville during the offseason, a move designed to sharpen his prospects for the NFL. At Louisville he has already endured a foot injury, yet still managed to score three touchdowns in a game against Kentucky, and he finished the season as the team’s top receiver with 806 yards and seven touchdowns.
Balancing a full academic schedule, part‑time work, and fatherhood, Richardson transferred back to Washburn University to stay closer to his son, where he posted 975 yards and eleven touchdowns on 51 catches, earning an NJCAA All‑American selection after a standout performance that included 365 yards and four scores on just fifteen receptions.
Off the field, he has launched a clothing line named LockedIn, aimed at inspiring peers who face similar hardships. He also plans to distribute shirts to students at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, using the platform to spread a message of perseverance.
Looking ahead, Richardson is slated to join summer workouts in June, a critical step toward catching the eye of NFL scouts. Coaches describe him as a quiet but determined presence, confident that his dual commitment to family and football will drive him to both professional success and academic completion.
