Trent Taylor, a longtime San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and return specialist, revealed his retirement on social media, sharing the news alongside his wife Sarah and close friend George Kittle.
A Career in Review
Taylor entered the NFL in 2017 after being selected by the 49ers in the fifth round, a move that marked the beginning of a seven‑year odyssey that would see him return to the Bay Area after stints with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears.
His tenure was punctuated by injuries, most notably a foot problem that sidelined him for the 2019 season, yet he managed to contribute to the Bengals' run to Super Bowl LVI and helped the team secure the 2021 AFC Championship Game victory.
