Trey McKenney, a sophomore guard for Michigan, is set to return for his second year on campus after a freshman season that featured appearances in all 40 games and averages of 9.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
He was one of four players to attempt more than 60 three‑point shots, earned the title of Michigan’s Mr. Basketball, and arrived in Ann Arbor as a McDonald’s All‑American.
The New Coaching Landscape
The departure of longtime coach Dusty May left a void, but McKenney expresses no harsh feelings toward May and acknowledges his coaching abilities. He believes new head coach Mike Boynton will inject energy and maintain continuity within the program.
