Trey'Dez Green, the LSU tight end who grew up just miles from his high school, stepped back onto the familiar fields of East Feliciana High School this weekend to launch his first annual football camp.
Dozens of youngsters from across the region gathered on the grass, eager not only to learn drills and techniques but also to absorb the mindset that helped Green overcome doubt and doubt from others.
A Message of Belief
Speaking to the campers, Green repeated a simple mantra: “You can do it.” He urged them not to let skeptics dictate their limits, recalling how his own journey was shaped by perseverance.
For many attendees, the camp was more than a skills clinic; it was a chance to see a hometown hero who walked the same halls now offering guidance, having grown up near the school and walked to class each day.
Looking Ahead
As the sun set over the field, Green expressed optimism that the lessons shared would echo beyond the weekend, shaping the aspirations of a new cohort of athletes who now see a path forward rooted in belief and hard work.
