Troy University’s baseball team has re‑entered the NCAA Regionals for the second time in just four seasons, a feat that underscores the program’s rapid rise. The Trojans earned a top‑ten strength of schedule, the nation’s No. 6 overall and No. 1 among non‑power conferences, and secured victories over Alabama, Georgia and Southern Miss.
Guided by Coach Skylar Meade, the squad embraced the most demanding non‑conference slate in the country, traveling to face SEC powerhouses and emerging victorious in key matchups. Troy Athletics announced the Step Up to the Plate Fund to build on this momentum and to provide resources for continued growth.
The 2026 campaign closed with a 32‑29 record, while the team’s RPI surged 32 spots from No. 67 on May 1 to No. 35 on Selection Monday, reflecting a hot month that included four wins over South Alabama and a series victory over Louisiana.
