A Regional Kickoff Like No Other
Troy Athletics, in partnership with Baumhower’s Victory Grille, will open its doors on Friday at 5 p.m. for a live watch party that coincides with the Trojans’ NCAA Regional opener against Miami. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network, and the venue will feature wall‑to‑wall televisions tuned to the action and other regional matchups.
The setting promises a lively atmosphere for Troy supporters who have traveled to Gainesville, Florida, where the regional tournament is being held. Fans can expect a sea of screens displaying the Trojans versus the Hurricanes, while the venue’s layout is designed to keep every eye on the diamond.
Where Fans Will Gather
Fans heading to the Sunshine State are being urged to stop by The Swamp Restaurant, located at 1104 SW 2nd Avenue, before each game. The eatery has been designated the official Troy Fan Headquarters for the Gainesville Regional, and the Troy University Alumni Association along with Troy Athletics will provide complimentary appetizers during the pre‑game window of 3:30 to 5 p.m. (ET) on Friday.
The fan headquarters will remain open from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday as well, offering a second chance for supporters to gather, enjoy the free bites, and soak up the regional excitement.
What’s at Stake
Troy enters the regional with a 32‑29 record from the 2026 campaign and boasts the nation’s sixth‑best overall strength of schedule, as well as the top non‑conference metric. The team’s recent surge in May — highlighted by a 32‑spot climb in the RPI — has raised expectations that a victory over Miami could propel them into the winner’s bracket.
Should the Trojans defeat the Hurricanes, their next contest would be scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. (ET), while a loss would shift their following game to Saturday at 1 p.m. (ET). In either scenario, the outcome will determine which regional opponent they face next, with the Gainesville winner meeting the Hattiesburg champion, a team that includes a No. 2 seed Virginia and other high‑ranked clubs.
